A ray of sunshine and so welcoming to everyone he comes into contact with, meet our March member of the month Fred Soole. You can catch Fred in the evening Metcon classes and dedicated to Gymnastics & WL classes continuing to improve his technique and get even more muscle ups under his crop top.
Let’s get to know Fred a bit better….
1. What’s a training goal you’re currently working towards?
Had you told me 2 years ago that I would get up at 5:30am to work out I would have laughed in your face. Being in recovery from drug addiction I’m after hobbies which serve my mental health. CrossFit has definitely helped me build up commitment and resilience as well as physical and mental strength, all of which I’m looking to improve. I’d like to do a big competition one day.
2. Most memorable moment at WIT so far?
The hot hot coconuts (with Davide) unexpectedly making it to the winter throwdown podium has been one of the proudest moments of my thirties.
3. What do you do when you’re not working hard in the gym?
Recently it’s felt like all I’ve been doing is studying for my final exam to become a paediatric haematologist coming up in a few weeks. My active meditation time happens whilst baking French things, dancing my life away at Adonis, or pretending to book my next yoga class.
4. What’s your favourite indulgence?
Since I’ve had to give up cigarettes because apparently it’s bad for you (not what we’re taught in France), half of the household income is spent on Gu chocolate melting middle puds.
5. If you could give a new member one piece of advice - what would it be? Wear a crop top
6. If you could write a workout for WIT, what would it be?
