Built for the Long Game.
The Nano franchise doesn't really need an introduction. Since the original dropped in 2011, it's been the default choice for serious CrossFit athletes, the shoe that showed up on podiums and survived countless Open seasons. Each iteration has pushed something forward: better stability, smarter materials, more grip, less bulk. The Nano 15 Edge is the latest in that line. And it might be the best argument yet for what the franchise has always been trying to do: don't make athletes choose.
Stable under load. Responsive when the session shifts. Durable enough to handle repeated impact without starting to feel like cardboard by week three. The platform gives you what you need for heavy barbell work, firm, grounded, no wasted energy, but it doesn't punish you when things get fast.
We took it on tour across multiple gyms, through real Open workouts, with real athletes. We put pairs on coaches. Brought it inside Friday Night Lights. Let it live in the environment it was built for: volume, fatigue, and repeat efforts over the course of the 2026 CrossFit Open.
The Nano 15 Edge isn't just a shoe for a moment, it's a shoe for the environment. Whether it's someone's first Open workout or the final heat of a packed Friday night, it holds. The same shoe, the same feel, workout after workout.
Which brings us to Elisa Fuliano.
For most athletes, the Open is the destination. For Elisa, it's a stepping stone. She's competing at environments with different conditions and thinner margins. Higher stakes. Less room for equipment to be a liability.
Same demand on the shoe, though.
We caught her mid-competition at Wodapalooza for a quick call. She got straight into it.
Jordan: Elisa, how’s it going?
Elisa: Hi guys, it’s going great. I’m here in Miami, the lights are just great.
Jordan: Tell me, how has prep been for Wodapalooza and how has it looked different to any other training block for you?
Elisa: I would say training for Wodapalooza is a bit different and also a little bit more fun. So going in the sunshine to run on the sand, it’s something you wouldn’t do for a normal competition, so yeah, it’s great.
Jordan: And when you’re training for a competition like this, what becomes absolutely non-negotiable?
Elisa: While I’m training, I try to imagine myself doing that workout in that specific arena. So when I actually do it on the competition floor, it’s like, okay, I’ve already done it before in my head. I’m more ready for it, you know, so it really helped me.
Jordan: Okay, so talk to us about the Nano 15 Edge. How has it helped in your prep? What do you like about the shoe?
Elisa: I just love Nano 15 Edge. I think they’re my favourite Nanos ever. I think they’re the most versatile shoes. They’re perfect for both heavy barbell and also for gymnastics and running in them. So I know that these shoes are just amazing for everything.
Jordan: So when you step out onto the competition floor, what changes for you mentally? What’s the shift?
Elisa: Until “3, 2, 1, go,” I’m kind of chill. I try not to get too anxious. I don’t even see what’s around me. I just see the barbell or the tools that I have to use and I’m 100% focused on what I have to do.
Jordan: So how does Wodapalooza help you prepare for the French Throwdown in May?
Elisa: You know what, I think that not competing the way I wanted to here in Miami will make me even more hungry for French Throwdown. My mind is already on that competition floor. It will be the most important competition of the season. So I want to be prepared and I really cannot wait to smash it.
Jordan: Well Elisa, thank you so much for taking the time to speak to us mid-competition. I know you’re pretty busy, so I’ll let you get back to it. Best of luck with the weekend and with French Throwdown as well.
Elisa: Thank you so much guys. It was so good to hear from you.
Jordan: Alright, thanks so much.
Elisa: Bye bye.
