A thriving online platform that connects weightlifters to world-class coaching.

“With weightlifting, everyone can train with everyone, and you actually feel you're part of a sport.”

In the world of weightlifting, the crash of barbells and the triumphant roar of a personal best often echo in solitude. It’s a sport that demands unwavering discipline, precision, and mental grit. Yet, for many lifters, it can feel isolating - a solitary journey beneath the barbell. That’s where Khrys Speed steps in.

As Head Coach and Founder of Ronin Strength, Khrys has built something remarkable: a thriving online platform that connects weightlifters to world-class coaching and, most importantly, to each other. For Khrys, weightlifting isn’t just about numbers on the board; it’s about the community that drives progress, offering support in a sport that can often feel deeply personal.

Khrys founded Ronin Strength with a simple but transformative vision: to make high-quality coaching accessible to everyone. He understands that not everyone has the means to train at elite facilities or the luxury of in-person guidance. “It’s not too late, too difficult, or too high level for anyone,” he explains, stressing the inclusivity that defines his approach. Khrys, through Ronin Strength, has opened the doors to affordable, high-level coaching that meets lifters where they are - whether they’re beginners tackling technique or experienced athletes chasing competitive goals.

But Ronin Strength is more than a coaching platform; it’s a community. Khrys has cultivated a space where lifters, no matter their level or location, can connect with like-minded individuals who understand the grind, celebrate the wins, and empathise with the struggles. “What can be a very lonely solo sport, he's made completely team-oriented,” fellow coach, James Crichton shares, capturing the essence of Khrys’ impact. From shared triumphs at meetups to online check-ins, Khrys has made weightlifting a collective journey, ensuring no lifter feels alone under the weight of their goals.

The impact of this approach is clear. Athletes who might have quit from burnout or isolation now thrive under Khrys’ guidance. They’re stronger not just physically, but mentally and emotionally, finding confidence that carries over into their lives outside the gym. “You're in a safe environment to really try things,” Khrys remarks, demonstrating the trust he has built within his community. In creating a community that wouldn’t otherwise exist, Khrys is fundamentally changing what weightlifting can be - a sport built on connection, not just competition.

At WIT, we believe training changes lives, and Khrys embodies that mantra. Through Ronin Strength, he’s redefining weightlifting as more than just an individual pursuit. For his athletes, the barbell becomes a catalyst for building resilience, forging connections, and driving meaningful change.
